Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

2007-04-11 Fantastically Thought Out
I used this book as part of my studying for a course essay on the "French Wars of Religion" and I love the way it is laid out easily and is just so, so accessible.Admittedly, the downside is that it is a comprehensive book, so lacks details of events but as a grounding in the topic, is brilliant.
It was written with the help of examiners and so looks at the causes of events also~ (I'm yet to meet an A-Level History student who doesn't appreciate a helping hand in the right direction!)
It is quite an expensive book though, so perhaps looking in the local public library or even requesting that your school librarian order might be a more cost effective way to get your hands on it. Otherwise, the second hand prices on here are reasonable if you are studying several topics covered in here.
If you are interested in other aspects of history, this series of books edited by Derrick Murphy, are highly recommended.
