2005-03-01 colourful and fun

This a lovely picture book, from 2 through to school, with really colourful and striking illustrations throughout. It is refreshing to see main characters which are not run-of-the mill animals: Zigby the zebra, Bertie the scaredy bird and a Meercat, which is refreshing. They have a day out and Zigby meets an octopus deep down in the lagoon. This is a good gentle story which provokes a smile at the end for children and adults alike.
Buy this one rather than Zigby hunts for treasure.
