As most readers will probably know, the ancient art of tantra is essentially based on the prolongation of intimate contact, in order to attain a summit of spiritual ecstasy that transcends the physical aspects of lovemaking- transporting the participant into a whole other realm of macrocosmic enlightenment. The hustle and bustle of today's world may seem incompatible with taking the 'scenic route' around nature's most celebrated pastime, but I would highly recommend it. Even the most over-worked businessman ought to make time for such a soul-altering experience (although it is wise to reach verbal agreement before attempting to submerge oneself in prolonged congress with an equally time-pressed businesswoman- especially if she conducts her 'business' at an hourly rate).

Anyhow, this is an excellent guide to an art that has often been compared to the marathon- although Doreen feels that it is far less physically gruelling (certainly not as demanding as the 'triathlon' we attempted one night, after Boot's ran a two-for-one promotion on Vaseline). Anyway, with regular practise, it is amazing to see how quickly the endurance begins to accumulate. Only yesterday, I began a session at 5pm- a session that did not culminate until long after darkness fell! Once the sense of conciousness begins to dissolves into the holistic vacuum of time and space, the hours just flash past at a rate that defies belief! Indeed, had I not been interrupted by Doreen's return from the snooker club, I should probably have continued to 'make my own entertainment' long into the early hours of the morning! These days, a single act of 'procrasturbation' is quite enough to necessitate the deferral of tiresome chores (such as mowing the lawn or feeding the fish) until the following day.
