2008-05-03 Why the negativity?

I just cannot understand all the hostility to this book. I thought it was wonderful.

I wonder if all those complaining about the e-mails think that makes this novel unreadable - then how on Earth did you cope with "Arms and the Women" which to my mind had a much more irritating style with the constant interruption of the quasi-Greek myth thing.

Do you not think that Mr Hill was, perhaps, having his own sly little dig at the degenerative effects that e-mail has on the English Language? I think this is quite likely.

Great novel - ignore the naysayers!
