Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

2002-10-31 Excellent sequel
This is the sequel to The Lily and The Sword where we first met Gunnar, he has been sent to Somerford by his liege Lord Radulf who believes that Lady Rose the mistress of Somerford is a traitor. She agrees to hire Gunnar and his mercenaries to protect her lands but doesn't realise that he is in fact there to spy on her. Lady Rose a widow is lonely and the only person she trusts is Constance her maid, she dare not trust Gunnar who does not know that the person who is the traitor is Lady Rose's father who has his eye on Crevitch the estate of Lord Radulf and Lady Lily but gradually Rose begins to trust and love Gunnar until she discovers what his reward will be, her home. This is a fine sequel to The Lily and The Sword, Rose is a strong woman she had to be for in the days of William the Conqueror no one's lands were safe and women were not left unmarried for long, Gunnar is a strong warrior but who can also be compassionate. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.similar books
