2008-08-25 Not as good as The Game but worth a read
I read, and absolutely loved, 'The Game' by the same author, Neil Strauss so I was looking forward to reading his second book, The Rules of The Game. Overall I would say that I enjoyed the book, and would recomend it, however there were some flaws, and it definitely wasn't as good as The Game.Strauss attempts to deliver a one size fits all dating remedy for men across the world and the result is quite hit and miss. Some of the 'missions' that the book adivises one to attempt are pretty pointless, and will not be relevant for a lot of people. I also agree with some of the other reviews which mention the comic book style stories at the back of the book. These are quite fun to read but are nothing amazing, and they certainly don't offer much in the way of instruction on pick up.
However I did enjoy the book overall and would probably recomend it. It's not as comprehensive on the subject like other books such as 'The Natural Art of Seduction' by Richard La Ruina, one of the best PUAs this side of the pond who teaches a totally natural form of pick up, but it's a fun read and should probably be on the book shelf of any wannabe pick up artist.
