My baby has loved every recipe I've tried from "Small Helpings." Whether you live in an area that has a wide variety of organic jarred baby foods (without additives) available -- or in a developing economy that doesn't (like I do) -- this book is a treat! The recipes are simple and usually quick, most of the ingredients are easy to find almost anywhere, and Karmel's down-to-earth style is reassuring for those of us who aren't gourmets. It contains sections on weaning, starting solids and nutrition that I found helpful, and the recipes are divided up by age group, so you don't have to guess what's appropriate for your six-month-old. It's been a life-saver.
