Freya North has a startling talent to amuse, and in Polly that talent--first spotted in the divine Chloe and Sally --is given free and unfettered reign, as she recounts the story of her latest heroine and her search for truth, love and fulfilment.

But clever old North manages to keep the suspense building alongside the lust, as Polly's life and beliefs are unravelled before your very eyes, and by using the very smart and sneaky technique of turning the reader into the narrator, the questions that are on the tip of everyone's tongue (as opposed to Chip Jonson, the school athletic trainer, who spends quite a lot of time on the tip of Polly's tongue) are fully dealt with.

Saucy, sexy and sassy, with some of the horniest, to-die-for sex scenes around, Polly is gem of a book and will appeal to the old romantic hidden in every girl.

2003-08-20 This was really not very good

I'm sure it's a taste thing, rather than a reflection of Freya North's writing skills, but I thought this book was rubbish. it annoyed me intensley. I'm writing this just to add an opposing view to the ones already written. I like 'girley' fiction, often it's really enjoyable, but the tone of this book was awful - and I do think badly written. So please be warned, you may intesley deslike this and run fast ever time you come accross any other of her books!
