This book is really not for self-study purposes. There are sets of useful questions at the end of each chapter but no suggested solutions! Each chapter contains a brief summary of the topics followed by extensive use of Case Study material. This book would be of greatest benefit in a classroom setting. It is, however, very difficult to work through independently. The Case Study material is useful in showing how theory can be applied to real-life situations. I think this is the book's best feature. The greatest motivator for my purchase of this book was that it is written by the eminent Robert Kaplan and Anthony Atkinson, especially the section relating to the Balanced Scorecard.
