2003-10-20 A Perfect Bore
What a disappointment! I have been told such wonderful things about these books but felt wholeheartedly disappointed with its trite plot and characters I couldn't care for. I found myself strugggling through the overlong plot, hoping that at some point I would be proved wrong!I felt no sympathy for the characters, even though it felt that it was expected of the reader. Far from feeling sorry for them in their state of emotional immaturity, they seemed foolish. As the book forms part of a series I expect that readers will be able to witness the development of these characters, however, there was not enough in this particular book which made me want to come back for more.
