2008-09-14 not my taste

I really didn't like this book. I remembered the title from my A level 'recommended reading list' and also remembered the high praise it had from my teacher, so i thought i'd give it a go. I gave it 2 stars rather than 1 because it is well written, i just found it very dull with little plot. It also annoyed me how quickly the time period would change. When i was reading, one of the characters (William i think) was only a small child. But in the next sentence he was suddenly a lot older with no warning.
