2006-03-26 Best so far
Having read all of her books so far (and waiting for the newest one in the Walsh family saga to be released in April '06), I am still coming back to this one again and again. In my opinion it's Marian Keyes' best book so far. I have read it several times and it never gets boring. It is uplifting, funny, sometimes you'll get a tear in your eye. It revisits the Walsh family (Watermelon, Rachel's holiday) and this time centres around the "boring" one, the quiet one, the good girl Margaret who leaves her husband and runs off to LA to stay with her friend. Cue attempts to be different and dangerous, just to realise that being normal and quiet is ok as long as you are happy. As long as you know what you want and who/how you are, you are alright. Not just funny, mindless escapism but well written chick-flick at its bestsimilar books
