2008-05-09 I couldn't get on with this book
Let me start by saying, that I absolutely love one of Dave Egger's other books, 'A Heartbreaking Work Of Staggering Genius' so I was really looking forward to reading this novel. However, I have to say that I found this one difficult to get on with.
Like another reviewer, I found the characters immature and annoying and well, I just didn't really care about either of them.
I therefore found it hard to care what they were doing on their stupid 'adventure' as well.
It's just a bit pointless, dumb and irritating and at no point did I feel gripped by the narrative.
Thorougly disappointing and an effort to finish
