2008-01-15 Kind of a dodgy underlying message...
The main problem I had with this book was the underlying message - that it's okay to go somewhere you know is expressly forbidden with someone you don't trust, and that you shouldn't tell your friends or an adult this is what you're doing. This isn't the kind of behaviour I'm comfortable with my daughter being shown, and told that it's what friends do.Otherwise, the book is no better than average with quite a lot of annoying whinnying and suchlike, poor character development and little content.
