Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

2004-07-15 Amber Brow is far more Exciting than a drawing Implement
As a self-respecting teenager it takes a lot for me to admit to liking a book aimed at ten year-olds. However I am proud to say, in true Amber Brown style:I, Louise am an Amber Brown fan. This, as the first book in the series is a must for any growing girl and as someone who read them as a child I can honestly say they are one of the best children's books around. Who ever you are, and at whatever age you are there is something in Amber you can relate to. If it's her messy hair, her love of Bubble gum, her parent's divorce or the moving away of her best friend, there is something you can identify with.I, for one, am very pleased that I received this book as a child and as I re-read them recently I noticed how much they had an impact on me. It's almost a decade since I first read them but re-reading them made me realise that I remember the stories, the events and the characters. If you can remember that much detail about a book you read when you were eight, I would say it must be a pretty good book.So if there is one thing you should know: Amber Brown is so much better then any drawing implement!similar books
