Thinking Of You - The Ultimate Escapist Read
Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!

Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?

Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

Tim Bowler's remarkable new novel for the first time in paperback
It starts with the phone call, late at night. The mysterious boy says he is dying. Dusty doesn't want to get involved - but the boy seems to have a link to the one person who's most important to her. Soon she has been drawn in - and now she has to deal with the other people who are looking for the boy - the violent man and his two sons, and the police too . . . Yet throughout all this, Dusty senses the presence of a boy who is not dying, a strange elusive boy who can show her what happened to her missing brother and solve the greatest mystery of her life. Where he is, who he is, why he wants to die, she cannot say. Only one thing is certain. Finding him will be dangerous.

2008-08-05 GREAT WRITING YET AGAIN!

Tim Bowler is a writer of incredible talent and imagination and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. My only complaint is that although I understood some of what Mr Bowler was trying to express, there were still things that were left unexplained at the end. I understand that many readers can use their imagination, but relying on this too often can be used as a cop out. I can use my imagination to a certain extent but I wouldn't say I have a great talent for invention, that is one of the reasons I like to read books. The fantasy part is the job of the author! I'm sure that many feel this way. Still this book wasn't as confusing as his book "Apocalypse". I must add that to enjoy reading a book and still not get it can only be seen as a compliment to the author!
