If Amazon would allow me to give ten stars I would!!!I've been interested in Anglo-Saxon Libraries for quite some time, and this is the best account of what is known today. It is basically an expansion and revision of what he did back in his 1983 article; yet, he does add more about the history of the libraries. He includes five great appendices, but the only problem is that in the appendices he excludes books like gospels, psalters, etc., which he notes can be referred to back in his 1983 article. Other than that, there isn't much you can say is wrong with the book. This is a valuable resource and should be included in every serious scholars' library.
