2005-06-24 Quality, but incomplete

This is the accompaniment to Wooldridge's excellent 'Econometric Analysis of cross Section and Panel Data'. This manual provides clear and rigorous solutions to the even numbered poblems in the book. Whilst the quality of what is included is first class, it is very frustrating that the author only chose to include answers to half of the problems. This means that answers to several problems that contain important lessons are omitted which detracts from the study and especially self study experience. For this reason I have rated this manual 4 rather than 5 stars. However, the solutions to the odd problems (or most of them, anyway) are available from the author's website in text or pdf format. This is a recent event and is a welcome response by the author to what I imagine was a sore point for many of his readers. This book and the website are essential companions to anyone interested in getting the most out of the text.
