2008-02-03 A lovely story

I am not a big fan of the Mills and Boons books as I find their book titles to be out of date and off-putting.

And this one is no exception, after reading the book I really do not get why it was titled Accidental Mistress. Emily was not or ever was Ethan's mistress.

But despite all that the story is good. Emily has had some bad luck(her house and workplace is burnt to the ground)so Ethan's uncle offers her a place to stay until things are sorted and she meets Ethan, whom she knows already. She bumped into him at a party she was at a few years ago.

Things proceed from there and Ethan and Emily become LOVERS and fall in love etc etc.

I stumbled across Susan Napier's books and read a few and fell in love.

I have read every book by Susan Napier and I have not liked every one of them, there were a few that were pretty old fashioned but on the whole they are great and well written. The dialogue is simply fantastic and is what keeps a story going.

To this day I never understand why Susan Napier does not write bigger more involved works of fiction.
