2008-06-01 War Propaganda
I was really disappointed in this sequel as I enjoyed Even Now immensely and was hopeful that I had found a new author to enjoy. I am most concerned about the claims Karen Kingsbury makes from an (albeit American) evangelical Christian viewpoint. I personally felt that the book read like war propaganda. The author makes it very clear that she thinks that God supports the Wars on Afghanistan and Iraq and therefore that all "right-thinking" Christians should also support them. Please do not pick this book up if you do not support the Wars as I am sure you will feel as irritated as I was by page after page of tired recycled arguments why these wars are justified. Karen Kingsbury should be writing for the military, not for a Christian publisher!
