This is a between the numbers book. It isn't really a novel, more of a novella, probably a couple of hours worth of reading at most. It follows its predecessor, 'visions of sugar plums' which was based around Christmas and had a slightly supernatural feel. This one is set around Valentines day with much the same themes and ideas. Here Stephanie is partnered by Diesel, a possibly supernatural guy who chases some of the more oddball, weird and less threatening figures than in the regular Plum series.
This is fluff, but it's entertaining fluff, and if you enjoy the Plum novels there's nothing here not to like. It's still amusing, still pacy and still crime-lite.similar books
