Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

2004-08-11 3rd in The Liar?s Club series
The hero James belongs to the liar's club a secret group of renegades dedicated to serving the crown. Due to the failure of his last 'mission' he now has the simple! task of finding the daughter of a missing code breaker who is now working for Napoleon. The heroine is Phillipa Atwater, before her father was captured by Napoleon he sent her to a friend in London but the friend is dead and she has little money and no where to go when it runs out. She sees an advert for the post of tutor for a man who is named in her fathers book - but is he a friend of a foe, she has to find out, so hair cut and disguised as a young man she applies and gets the job of tutoring Robbie an ex chimney sweep boy now James's heir.
You might wonder why James never spots that the tutor Phillip is a girl but the author has James always preoccupied with all the bad stuff that happened on his last 'mission' and in that state he never gives her a 2nd look. He never fancies or is drawn to the young tutor but does have a fantasy about a belly-dancer, so Phillipa turns up as one!
Phillipas adventures as Phillip are humorous and mix well with James' struggles in espionage.
The book can be read stand alone (as I did). It is more an adventure story with a bit of extra romance. All the supporting characters are good and Phillipa comes across really well and you want to know what happens next to her.
