2006-03-07 Amazing.

I got all six of these as they came out (they were 'fabled lands' then, i'm guessing 'Quest' is the American title) and they are were the greatest achievement in adventure books since Warlock of Firetop Mountain.
I once asked Dave Morris in a letter (c.1998) about when the other six would be released and he said that the first six were being released in the U.S. and if they did well then the publishers would let them write the second half of the series: seems they didn't sell that well over there :( He said that they had sold well in Britain but at 4.99 profits were insufficient for the publishers.
Anyhow, if anyone has a chance to read them do it! get yourself all six and have a great time...these books were the culmination of the adventure gamebook phenomonen and were its greatest achivement!
