2006-10-16 I'm not scared of surgery any more!

Having been very impressed with the other two members in this trilogy, I had huge expectations from this book...and it did not disappoint. Finals in Surgery is a pocket-sized god-send for final year medical students to ensure exam success, and will serve all students well when facing an onslaught of questions from surgeons, who are generally less than cuddly when compared to their medical counterparts (Apologies for any offence caused!!!).

All the hot topics are covered, in the right amount of detail including general exam priniciples, cases from lumps, chest, breast, abdomen, hernias, limbs (vascular and locomotor) and other useful sections, such as radiology.

The lay-out and style are excellent: Each subject is presented with history, examination, investigation, treatment and is punctuated with bullet points, clear diagrams and punchy tables.
