2007-12-06 CHESS STRATEGY AND ENTHUSIASM

This book is full of Chernev's enthusiasm for chess strategy, some gems especially by Capablanca - I just love Chernev's excitement over Capa's famous Bf5-d7!! versus janowski , a slight criticism is that the notes are one-sided not critcising many of the winner's moves.

I love the titles of the games - I can still remember Quiet Like a tiger, Weak Squares and Mighty Knights etc. After first reading this book over 30 years ago.
