Although the book is well priced, and does contain 1,001 common everyday Spanish words, its hard to find anything more substantial to recommend this book with. Only having the words in Spanish leaves the beginner nowhere when trying to use the language, and the example sentences are pretty pointless, since the reader is most likely to be looking the word up to find out what it means in a given context, not put it in a different one. For the small amount of money saved, this book isn't worth the purchase over a decent pocket dictionary, which will contain far more words (and in many cases, some examples) and work both ways.similar books
