2008-07-28 This series get's better and better...
Lara Adrian really has made her mark with this the third in her 'Midnight Breed' series. It's wonderfully written and really has branched out and found some original ways to make the 'Midnight Breed' series something worthy of praise in it's own right. This book marks a change from this series being a lovingly crafted immitation of books from J R Ward& Sherrilyn Kenyon to a series in it's own right. Adrian may have taken a few books to find her own feet in this genre but she has definately succeeded.
Tegan is one of my favourite Breed vamps. He has been written in such a passionate style that you really feel for him and are drawn to him from the start of the book. Elise who was introduced in the previous book has changed dramatically since our last encounter with her but it is with good reason and it does not seem out of place. The plot is cleverly conceived and well written. I enjoyed every minute of this book and it has left me wanting more of the Breed...
