2008-09-23 Nothing special, lacks originality

Perhaps over the past 8 years this hasn't aged well. Maybe back then it was original, but now... well, it just felt like a standard police procedural, and reminded me a lot of Tess Gerritsen's The Surgeon (which was a lot better!) Also, if you want a scarey read, look somewhere else. As a young female, reading this alone at night when my boyfriend was away on business, I had no problem switching out the lights and going straight to sleep!
