Well, well Mr Fry! Not long after the UEFA Cup Final and the Famine Song, one of our few original geniuses becomes cheap and tries to impinge on the domain of 'ra banter.' Little did he know how shark infested 'Banter Bay' is as he paddles near the shoreline while observing real banter from the true bantermeisters - Rangers fans. While witticism is entertaining, it cannot be as effective as the 40,000 strong Ibrox Park male choir. Although humour and gentle badinage has its place in social communication, it will never replace the tidal wave of vitriol that radiates with toxicity from every supporters bus on their travels. And finally, a wordsmith can never beat a Walter Smith and beating is what Rangers supporters are all about: beating Queen of the South, beating Partick Thistle and most of all, beating residents and police officers caught up in their tidal wave of European banter.
