An adventure across the last frontier
The brother and sister team of Adam and Ashley Arlington enjoy climbing at Devils Tower with Ron Rapp, the son of an attorney who used to work with the pair's father. Later that evening, while flying to Cheyenne, Ron's plane crashes, and he is missing. Follow the Arlingtons around Wyoming as they search everywhere from Yellowstone to Flaming Gorge for Ron. The Arlingtons are a family-oriented mystery series that involve an adventure, mystery, riddle or chase in each book. There is one book for each state. An avid reader of Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew books growing up, I decided to take a little different take. The parents, Alex and Anne Arlington, and their children, Adam and Ashley, go to each state to solve mysteries. There is no violence in the books, and all are geographically correct - although the stories are fictional - with several landmarks from each state playing key roles in the adventure, mystery, riddle or chase. Each state's history is also touched upon in each book. At the end of each book, the kids talk with their parents about what they did well, what they could do better facing similar circumstances, and how they apply what they learned to their own lives.
