2004-05-25 Interesting and informative read
This is a great introduction to the weird and wonderful world of microbiology through the eyes of the people at the forefront of the technology. It explains fully the furore over the "martian meteorite" life and gives a good preparation for the advances and changes in perception that we have to look forward to in this field. I read it during my A-levels (British higher education qualification) in chemistry and biology and it provided a fantastic bacground reading resource for my course.Thouroughly recommended.
