2002-09-12 More of Austen
For those who have enjoyed those few precious novels written by Jane Austen herself, 'Sanditon' provides the perfect opportunity to return to her world. The story itself, while only being started by the great author is beautifully continued so that it is difficult to tell when Austen stops writing and the more recent author begins. The characters prove to be as interesting as those crafted by Austen herself and the plot twists as fascinating. The story itself focusses on a seaside resort called Sanditon, where the love lives of a collection of characters become somewhat entangled and confused. It may not be Austen but it was close enough to make it impossible to put the book down until I had read the last page.similar books
