2008-07-19 Breathtakingly beautiful

Steve McCurry's wonderful book 'Portraits' was a gift from my daughter and I just cannot stop looking at it. It must score as one of the best presents I have ever received.

The photographs are wonderful and some of them, for an example as on the front and back covers, are mesmerising - the young girl portrayed must have such a story to tell.
Steve McCurry's subjects all have such 'lived in' faces and my one minor criticism is that I would like to know the story of each and every one of his subjects.
