Wessex Electronic Publishing is an established market leader in the publication of computerized price books and the "Wessex database: civil engineering" enjoys a high reputation throughout the industry as a definitive source of civil engineering price information. In 1991 Thomas Telford, acquired the publishing rights to the "Wessex database: civil engineering". The publication is now being re-launched as the "CESMM3 price database 1992". It has been thoroughly revised and expanded to bring it into line with the newly published CESMM3. The data for the new publication has been compiled by E.C Harris: Quantity Surveying, one of the UK's leading quantity surveying practices involved in civil engineering. The "CESMM3 price database" is a price book compiled by civil engineers and quantity surveyors for civil engineers and quantity surveyors and contains over 25,000 prices for labour, materials and plant. The information has been structured in accordance with CESMM3 as the standard method used for civil engineering work. However information can be assembled in a variety of ways to conform with any method of measurement for engineering work.

The book has also been completely re-designed and will now appear in A4 format with all information appearing as properly designed typesetting instead of the "typewriter" image of previous editions.
