Bartholomew Bear is having a very bad day. He doesn't want to do anything and everything is wrong--his ears are cold, his porridge is lumpy, his legs are stumpy and when it comes to bath time, he's really unhappy. However, George has the answer and Bartholomew goes to bed happy. This is a comforting story that will appeal to all children who know what it's like to have the occasional bad day. The humorous illustrations and Bartholomew's continued retort of "nah" will delight mischievous children everywhere. --Philippa Reece

2008-03-05 A beautiful book my son wanted again and again

I disagree with the first reviewer. We found this the best Ba and George book. Nonen of the others measured up to it.

This is a book about a small bear "Ba'" who is having a "negative" day.
His dad is so patient and understanding and when dad george reflects on the day and lets Ba know that he still loves him however much trouble he is, Ba relaxes and is able to co-operate again.

It is a very re-assuring read for a child. And it is a funny read for the grown up who may recognize their 2 year old from time to time.
