As a responsible parent who actively encourages reading, I am rather concerned about the content of these books.
I gather the first books were for a young teenage audience, & obviously some younger girls are going to read them too. I was happy to let my 12 year old read these, I read excerpts of the first ones. I have though just discovered that 2 of the more recent books in this series my daughter has are really not suitable for this reading age - "Because I'm worth it" & "You're the one that I want" - due to the language used aswell as too graphic sexual references. Whilst I admit that there is, albeit in very small print on the back cover, a statement that these 2 books are suitable for over 15's, it is a shame that a series that started out as suitable is no longer, & with very little notice - I'm sure not many people would see the "warning". I think it should be made a lot more obvious that these books are not suitable for the younger teenage audience.
