2008-10-07 Zany and bursting with good humour
At first I felt too old to enjoy this, as I wasn't sure I'd be able to relate to a bunch of college teens. It reminded me a little of the American Pie films only better and that comparison is not intended as a criticism. However, in spite of my initial reservations, it really grew and grew on me and as I read on and got immersed in more and more mad capers it struck me as being really funny and nostalgic. The book has a great group of characters - Natie and Ziba being amongst my favourites and who wouldn't want a mum like Kathleen? Simply golden. I loved the ending and thought the author got the balance of comedy and poignancy spot on. Would definitely recommend as something that little bit different.similar books
