Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

2008-03-19 Sweetly surreal and very funny
OK, I admit it. I'm supposed to be a grown woman and I loved this book! In my defence, it's ten times better than any of the chick-lit dross marketed at twenty-somethings. Sue Limb's teen books remind me so much of the pure silliness of being a teenager, which so many authors seem to forget amongst the turmoil and corruption they suppose teenagers wallow in. Her characters sparkle with life, mischief, sensitivity and good-heartedness.The premise of Zoe and Chloe is maybe a bit shaky - mysteriously advertising for boys in order to cast their net for prospective ball dates - compared to her Jess Jordan books, but the characterisation and dialogue are still intelligent and that kind of surreal which pinpoints exactly what it is to be fifteen years old.
A wonderful comedy and a sweet little book for a summers' afternoon. Teenagers should love it, and so might their older siblings!
