Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

Talon was once a Celt warrior cursed by his ancient gods. Following the murder of his sister, the dying Talon had made a deal with the goddess Artemis. He had been given one act of vengeance against the clan who betrayed him, in exchange for his soul and his eternal service as a Dark-Hunter. Talon has sworn to fight Diamons and rescue the human souls they've captured. He has never had cause to regret this choice - until he meets Sunshine Runningwolf. The unconventional Sunshine should be Talon's perfect woman. She is beautiful, sexy and isn't looking for a long-term commitment. But the more time Talon spends in her company the more he starts yearning for dreams of love and family that he buried centuries ago. But loving Sunshine would be dangerous for both of them. Talon is destined never to know peace or happiness while his enemies still seek to destroy him and everyone close to him...
2008-07-29 Interesting, but not historically accurate.
I am a fan of the Dark Hunter series, and enjoyed this book as much as the others. However, as with many Sherrilyn Kenyon books, there is very little historical accuracy. As a history studant this is a real bug bear, especially when it comes to pre-Roman Britain. Where to begin... Talon is suppossed to be from North England somewhere: the location is not specified. If this were so he would NOT worship the Morrigan. She was a goddess isolated to Ireland, and not worshiped in England. Likewise, the Name Morrigantee is there fore invalid. Another thing was the alliance between his tribe and the Gauls. The Gauls were located in France, no way in hell would a tribe in Northern England be that concerned with them, it just makes no sense, as does the idea of Talon running off to go slaughter them in one day. However, I am aware that not everyone is as interested or as anal about such things as me, and so, it is a good book if you arn't interested in this.
