2004-07-11 Light read, Entertaining and a little informative.

This is a nice light account of Tony Gray's experiences of the forties in Dublin working for the Irish Times. The second half of the book drifts into de Valera's experiences more than the author, with a little too much regurgitation of Tim Pat Coogan's two books on the IRA and de Valera.

This book is very Dublin-centric. Not much is beyond the pale.
