2008-02-03 The Karen Sharpe Investigations - Excellent

After discovering "Phoenix", I am hooked on the DC Karen Sharpe investigations.

I couldn't put "The Playroom" down, it's exciting, full of tension with a fast pace that creates a page turner until the very end.The plot is a dark and difficult - paedophilia - which is always hard to read about.

The troubled Karen Sharpe character is more developed. Her previous undercover work is given more explanation together with her coping mechanisms of living a different identity.

Connor continues to weave police procedural information into his writing in a way that remains authentic and interesting and not heavy for the reader to digest.
