2008-01-03 The Calder saga continues ....
Couldn't wait to receive this book - and read it very quickly! Continuing the Calder Saga as would be expected - some passion, some tragedy, but a happy conclusion - to continue ....
Generally I enjoyed the book - as per the others in this series. However, very disappointed with the way some of the characters from previous novels were 'quickly disposed of' (Sally and Cully). Disappointed that Chase seemed to change so much, and become almost out of character from how he had been portrayed previously. His new relationship seemed slightly out of character, and the one with Sally, who had been very central previously, very much 'played down'. Also disappointed with the central character - Jessy - who was not a 'blood character', taking up so much of the time. The 'plot' wasn't as good as in previous novels - and the ending - rather sudden.
However, I have already ordered the next novel in the series!!!!
