2005-06-20 Excellent for the early stages of child developent

As a student studying studying education, this book was really helpful to me, its really nice and easy to read, and there is a great index thats really helpful if you just need to know about one specific area of development. This book goes into great detail about the early stages of a childs development, and its written in a very simplistic manner, and well presented making it very accessible. The only problem with the book i found is that the author only really talks about the developemt of children up to the ages of about 5/6, so if at any time you are working with children in Key Stage 2 (7-11), its not awfully helpful. Apart from that i would highly reccomend this book for anyone going on to an education studies course or child psychology.
