Jill Mansell, unlike other writers in the rom-com arena, seems to get better with every book she writes. Thinking of You is her latest offering and proves that it is possible to get better with age!
Ginny Holland, a best selling author if left rattling around in her house on her own after daughter Jem goes to university. Lonely, she advertises her spare room for rent. Instead of a happy roommate, she gets moaning Laurel who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. If that wasn’t enough, Ginny finds herself lusting after two men who can only be bad for her. Will Ginny get the man of her dreams, or will he be the one that gets away?
Mansell has a disarming ability to create characters that you already know and that tends to make her books impossible to put down. This book is no different. It is charmingly written, hopelessly funny and will make you forget all of your own troubles as soon as you read the first page.

2008-05-12 Great book
This is a great book and will help you advance both in technique and musical understanding. There are a over 20 tunes on it covering a wide variety of styles and techniques and really give you a good grounding in rock guitar. I would say, however, that this book is for guitarists with at least the basics of playing already down. if your thoughts immediately prior to opening this book at page 1 are 'So this is going to teach me how to hit the string things with the plastic triangle thing' then you're going to be out of your depth very quickly. The exercises are deceptively easy at the beginning but get much harder very quickly. You really have to make the effort with this book and thats what I like about it. I'm about two thirds the way through and really noticing my playing improving. It's great to start a new piece and not be able to handle the techniques or speed at all to begin with and then slowly get them together till theyre near perfect. I have a few of Troys books and they all do the same thing. They allow you to really see your progression very clearly and this really helps with the motivation when you have practice sessions where you cant hit the guitar strings with an oversized plectrum and a diagram.similar books
