1999-06-23 Great read for any gymnastics fan.
This is a very good read for any gymnastics fan and particularly Shannon Miller fans. It has loads of facts and information about Shannon. It is well written by her mother but the constant reference to God and Christian Science is a little "in your face" and gets annoying towards the end of the book. She also makes Shannon out as a bit of a saint and the whole family more like the Waltons than real people. However, the book gives loads of information about Shannon's training, her relationship with Steve Nunno and other gymnasts and a family insight on watching their little girl grow into an Olympic champion. It also shows how it's possible for top gymnasts to have a normal life and still achieve huge success. Get this book.similar books
