2008-06-02 Save your money

This claims to be an illustrated history but there's nothing new in the pictures, nor is the text very detailed. A lot of the pictures are bog standard, and the promise of the cover, with details of the military equipment etc isn't fulfilled. As the publishers decided to produce a book in a small paperback format they could have made an effort in reproducing the pictures in a larger size so one could actualy make out the details. And as a history of Ireland what was the point of reproducing pictures from belligerent nations?

Very disappointing.
