2002-01-09 Excellent starter on philosophy and for IB TOK course.
As a teacher of TOK in an international school I have found this book an excellent starter for the course. Having been turned onto it by a colleague, I immediately ordered my own copy. It is well organised in sync with the IB TOK course outline and written with the student in mind. The language is simple yet exacting and does a wonderful job of eliminating the "elitist" tone too many books on this subject tend to take. The book is also well suited to anyone who is interested in beginning a "self study" of philosophy and is an easy read that will likely serve as a reference during other reading experiences.
