2008-01-22 Silver Age Teen Titans - They're real swinging cats!

If you're used to the 80's Teen Titans (Robin/Nightwing, Raven, Starfire, Beast Boy and Cyborg), then you're in for a surprise. This team consists of Robin, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash and Aqualad. The teenagers meet in their secret hangout and they stay in their costumes the whole time. We never learn their real identities. They speak in 60s lingo, which is surprisingly different to the way we speak today! Kid Flash is called Flasheroo or worse "Flasher" and Wonder Girl is called Wonder Doll! However, Robin is still the leader of this team of young heroes.

This showcase contains all their initial adventures and introduces other Teen Titans, such as Speedy and Beast Boy. All the comics within are black and white, but there are loads of them! If you've never met the Silver Age Titans, this is a good introduction to them.

It is unfortunate that DC Comics only sell the archive/collections in either cheap black and white paper backs or pricely coloured hardback. What I'd like is to see the archives in coloured paperback.
