2006-03-17 Gripping
A gripping story, very evocative of Japan in past times. The japanese names can be a bit confusing at first, but we soon got the hang of it. Its well read and we liked the music too. Appealing to older children and adults. The love affair gets a bit steamy in the latter part of the book which makes it less suitable for younger children.
We enjoyed it so much we read/listened to the next 2 in the series as well.
