2005-02-25 Campaign Military English
Expensive, but worth every penny! This text is well worth buying for any military personel struggling with English. Book 1 is obviously aimed at newcomers to the language, and it does a fantastic job of introducing students to the basics of English. The book has clear pictures and simple yet effective examples, and its self-explanatory set up makes the teacher's job easier. More importantly, it is also useful for clarifying the often confusing pronunciations of terms unique to military life, and even provides examples of the correct use of these elusive "Army Words." As a teacher, I would say that this book is an excellent tool for any military classroom. It covers everything from performing basic introductions to articulating (as well as comprehending) complicated military orders and commands. I like the baby steps it takes the students through in the beginning; later on it tends to move in bigger leaps and bounds, more appropriate to the level of comprehension reached by those chapters. All in all, I would say that this book is the best resource I have found yet for my ESL officers and enlisted men.similar books
